Shadow Painting

• Long Roll Of Paper (Lining Paper is excellent)

• Toy Animals

• Pens

• Sunshine!

Lay out the paper on a hard surface, and weigh it down if you are outside. Place the animals along one edge so they cast a shadow on the paper. Draw round the shadow.

Why It's Good

It develops fine motor skill and imagination as you can also encourage backgrounds and settings to be draw free hand after the animals have been done. Pretty simple set up and pack away!
